Children are not things to be moulded, they are people to be unfolded

Inclusive learning from home - working with an autistic child

I think there are many pupils in schools who find the environment very stressful and as a consequence, show what appear to eb disruptive behaviours. After all, behaviour is only a reflection of emotional state, and if environments cause poor emotional states, then it clearly follows that there may be less than desirable responses.
I do think the best schools and managers know this and make provisions for their pupils who find the rigour and inflexibility of their learning environments just too much to handle. There are the different subjects to adapt to as well as different rooms and teacher styles. All of these factors and many others can lea to raised stress levels and can be alleviated in most cases by a proactive and individualised approach. Such an approach is discussed in the following article.

Following a long and protracted battle to get the right support and the right environment for her son, Catherine Jones talks about how she managed the transitions and finally using an online learning environment to help her autistic son.

Accipio Learning provides live, online teaching to secondary school students in the U.K. and operates much like a traditional school. Our students are those who are unable to attend mainstream school or who may be in school and at risk of exclusion.
